SHIPPING & RETURNS

For most U.K. mainland addresses our prices include the £15 per plant P&P costs that we incur in sending our plants in the post, however due to high courier costs for some addresses we have to add a delivery surcharge for items in the following areas:

  • Anglesey, Dyfed, Gywnedd, Powys: £2.50
  • London or Cornwall: £2.95
  • Scotland: £3.95
  • Northern Ireland: £3.95 (small plants under 120cm)
  • Isle of Wight: £12.95
  • Highlands of Scotland: £27.95
  • Offshore Scotland, Channel Islands, Northern Ireland: £45.95
  • Isle of Man, Scilly Isles: £75.95
  • Europe: Ireland, Germany, Netherlands (small plants under 120cm) £3.95
  • Europe: France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Denmark (small plants under 120cm) £4.95
  • Europe: Portugal, Austria (small plants under 120cm) £9.95

European Union countries: For larger plants above 120cm do please use the contact box on the About Us page and tell us what plants you would like and we will reply with the delivery fee and information about the plants you would like.

Delivery times: Orders are usually despatched within 72 hours, unless they are Pre-order products, this is stated on the webpage for these products for example: Flower bulbs. Within mainland UK orders should be received within 7 working days and 10 working days for non-mainland UK and European countries. We make every effort to despatch orders as quickly as possible and all order confirmations come with a tracking number for your order so at any time you can see the progress of your order.

Safe-place or Neighbour: Because we all have busy lives, if you think you might be out when our courier calls do tell us in your order if there is a safe place to leave your order, for example garden shed or near neighbour.

Returns: You can return anything you are not happy with within 28 days of receiving it provided you have contacted us within 7 days of receipt to advise of its return and that it is not something you tried out and not liked. The analogy would be buying a dress, wearing it for a party and then deciding you no longer want it We will not pay the costs of returning an item to us. Until we receive the goods you are returning, they are your responsibility. For your protection and peace of mind, we recommend you use a recorded delivery service to return things. To get a full refund, simply return the item to us in its original condition, in its original packaging within 28 days of cancellation. If the item has been damaged, used or is not returned in its original packaging, we reserve the right to withhold 30% of the refund value if the item needs to be reduced in price for resale.

Delivery: We will deliver the Goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. Please be precise about where you would like the Goods left if you are out when we deliver. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the Goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions. We will aim to deliver within the quoted time frame but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, we will contact you to advise you that the delivery date will have to be extended.

Risk and ownership: Risk of damage to or loss of the Goods passes to you at the time of delivery to you or, if you fail to take delivery at the agreed time, the time when we tried to deliver. You will only own the Goods once they have been successfully delivered and when we have received cleared payment in full. Goods supplied are not for resale.

Incorrect Goods: If we sent you something you had not ordered and which was not a substitute item (see below), please contact us within 7 days informing us of the problem. You can return it within 28 working days unused in its original packaging and you will not be charged.

Damaged in Transit: If your purchase is damaged in transit, please contact us within 3 days informing us of the problem. You can return it within 28 days and either get a replacement or a refund. Please make sure you give us your order number and return the item in its original packaging. Plants: If you receive a plant that is in bad condition when you take it out of the box, contact us immediately. We will then ask you to send us a photograph so that there is no doubt as to its condition on arrival with you, as opposed to what it looks like by the time you return it to us. Bear in mind that plants look different depending on what time of year it is. If you choose a nice leafy-looking deciduous shrub in the winter, remember it is going to arrive leaf-less in winter. It does not mean there is anything wrong with it, just that it is out of season and will produce leaves when the weather warms up. Perennial plants will not even show above the soil level in a pot during the winter, but that does not mean you have got a pot full of soil. However, provided that you have contacted us within 3 days of receiving the defective plant we will be happy to arrange for a refund or replacement once we have received the pictures and determined the cause of the problem. Please also take into consideration that plants, like people, will not be at their absolute best after a long journey. Plants may suffer the odd broken part without lasting detriment. Plants out of their prime growing season will not look their best or be bare-rooted.

Cancellation: To cancel an order, please e-mail us at cancel@worldgardenplants.com with details of the order you are cancelling. A charge may be made if the cancellation is done after the order or a part of the order has been dispatched. Orders placed on our our website can be cancelled for a full refund within 7 days provided the goods have not been despatched, which must be no later than 48 hours before the despatch date. Please tell us by email within 7 days if you wish to cancel. For late cancellation or within 48 hours of despatch we reserve the right to retain a restocking charge of 30% of the cost of each item cancelled.
