Large dainty deep purple bell-like flowers nodding from delicate pedicels in racemes atop 100cm stems. Glaucous spears of narrow leaves fan up from its base.
A sport of Fritillaria persica which is native to the arid climates of Western Asia, 'Adiyaman' is taller and more free-flowering. Unsurprising given its heritage, it loves to be planted in full sunlight in fertile well-drained soil.Frost hardy.
An unusual addition to flower beds and borders that holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
