Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Cratus' Forms a beautiful, dense evergreen shrub this Pittosporum has wonderfully glossy, elliptic leaves which emerge as silvery-green. The leaves have wavy edges and stand out against the stems which are almost black.
During late spring – early summer, tiny and beautifully fragrant deep brown-black bell-shaped flowers emerge in abundance. These may be followed by black seed capsules.
Pittosporum tenuifolium ‘Cratus’ clips beautifully and can be formed into a dense hedge. If being used as a hedging plant, best trimmed into shape in spring.
It also makes a good choice as a low maintenance evergreen plant for pots and borders.
