Blue Fescue Grasses glauca 'Select' 3 or 6 plants offer. Autumn time is planting time!
Blue Fescue Grasses
The mound forming habit and fine foliage gives this grass a formal appearance. The small size enables it to be used in window boxes, baskets and as edging along the front of borders. If not grown on the lean side, it may need to be divided every few years (when the centre starts to die). Trim back in late summer to stimulate new growth.
We have selected the bluest hardiest of this strain of Blue Fescue, because of its particularly strong blue colour. Hence the name Festuca glauca 'Select'. Season of interest: year-round in mild climates.
This plant looks fantastic if planted under bamboo, also looks great grouped in tubs or planted into gravel, and it provides a brilliant contrast to black or green stem bamboos!
