Fargesia robusta Campbell This is a good choice for a clumping bamboo to create a narrow screen, being taller, more upright, and more robust than other Fargesia.

It has dark green foliage and light green canes, with new shoots that are hairy and rusty red upon emergence from the ground in early spring.

The cane sheaths persist and soon fade to a light colour, almost white, giving the stems a very attractive checkerboard look in the spring through early summer.

This bamboo is more sun tolerant than most other Fargesia, quick growing without being invasive and extremely hardy.

Eventual height is around 4-5m in 10 years, if not trimmed.

About our Eco-loop bag pots: These taupe colour pots are made from recycled material, are carbon black free, meaning they can be recycled, and are oxo-biodegradable. It is important to distinguish between oxo-biodegrable, and oxo-degradable, simply put oxo-biodegradable (which these are) will leave no micro-plastics, they fully biodegrade. We would like our customers after planting your plants bought from us to either: Re-use the pots in your garden, Recycle - they can go into your kerbside recycle bin.
