Canna's (H3) are rhizomatous herbaceous perennials with erect stems bearing ovate leaves, with showy 3-petalled flowers in racemes or panicles in summer and autumn.

Canna edulis Purpurea A large canna, growing to around 6-8ft with thick stems and large green/purple leaves and red/orange flowers.
