Dahlia's are tuberous rooted perennials with pinnately divided leaves and showy flower-heads, double in many cultivars, in summer and autumn.

Dahlia Bishop of York Another Dahlia to add to the 'Bishop’ family. Wonderful combination of dark foliage and warm orange-yellow flowers which can be 10cm across.

Cultivation: Grow in a fertile, humus-rich well-drained soil in full sun; they benefit from liquid feeding. Taller types need staking; for large blooms (eg. for exhibition) undertake disbudding. After the first frosts, cut back stems and lift tubers and store in frost-free place.
Height / Spread: 70 x 50cm Flowering Time: May - October. Deadhead to prolong flowering.
Brings any container to life with its vibrant blooms and bronze foliage. Also very suitable for the mid border.
Ideal Conditions: Prefers full sun, or partial shade with free-draining soil or compost.
